Bio
I was bitten by the writing bug in the fifth grade and never recovered. I have pursued the craft of writing in many forms, but narrative fiction remains my first love.
I also wrote a weekly column in Drama-Logue on the subject of "survival skills" for actors and other theater professionals and completed two feature-length screenplays and several short stories. My story "Vigilantes" took First Place in the 2019 Idaho Writers Guild's short story contest.
Before retiring, I had a corporate career in human resources where my writing consisted of describing benefit plans and policies.
My lifelong dream came true when my first novel, Mending Dreams, was published in 2014. Write My Name on the Sky followed three years later. Turn Back the Clocks is in the works now.
When I’m not writing, I enjoy spending time with that furry white creature I’m holding. Her name is Thunder, and she is much bigger now. She is a registered Therapy Dog, and her job is to make people smile, which she does just by existing. My job is to hold her leash during our visits to nursing homes, schools, and hospitals.
I’m also an active member of Toastmasters4Writers—a great organization that has enabled me to improve my presentations at author events. Writing speeches has also helped me develop another kind of writing muscle.
Writing is not just a job for me, it’s a passion, maybe even an addiction. All I know is that, when I’m not writing, I get even weirder than usual. The only cure is to sit at my desk…and write.
